I STOOD AT THE EDGE WHERE THE MIST ASCENDED,
MY JOURNEY DONE WHERE THE WORLD ENDED.
I LOOKED DOWNSTREAM. THERE WAS NOTHING BUT SKY,
THE SOUND OF WATER, AND THE WATER’S REPLY.

SUSSEX FORGED
Where the stream meets ancient iron earth, Tilsmore was made.
Set over 100 acres of rolling East Sussex countryside, Quarry Wood Farm is a family-run estate and the home of Tilsmore wine. The Georgian-style farmhouse looks over landscaped gardens, wildflower meadows, vines and a woodland amphitheatre encased by ancient trees. A place that feels as though it has always been here.
LIMITED VINTAGES
Each Tilsmore vintage is released in limited quantities, shaped by the harvest and the season. Available online, at our cellar door, and through selected stockists, every bottle features its own unique artwork - a small piece of the estate to take home.
FROM THE IRON EARTH
Our vines grow on a south-west facing slope in sandy clay loam soil — the same iron-rich ground that has shaped the character of our wine from the very beginning. It is a wine of place, with a delicate and nuanced flavour that speaks for itself.
COME TO THE ESTATE
From vineyard tours and tastings to sound baths in the woodland amphitheatre, there is always something happening at Tilsmore. Browse our upcoming events, or get in touch about shoot location enquiries.
A SOIL STEEPED IN LEGEND
The early-Tudor quarry at the heart of the estate is said to be the setting for one of Sussex's most beloved folk tales — the legend of St Dunstan and the Devil. The iron is still here. So is the story.
